Who can come up with the best description for these vestments?
All I can think of is:
"The beanie baby mania having died down, TY decides to make a line of plush popes. This tropical pope comes with aquamarine vestments, to reflect the Spirit gently blowing like a sea breeze."
Sitting on the Rock, basking in the sun,
Is this Pope's idea of fun.
Cross and Mitre, shoes and Chair,
His life is so perfect without a care!

What's wrong with these vestments?
Anonymous must be color blind.
The liturgist involved with those vestments was of course the infamous Archbishop Piero Marini who has been Master of Pontifical Liturgical Ceremonies for way too long.
Though it is rumored that Monsignor Guido Marini (no relation) will soon replace him.
Anonymous--
The vestments are neither dignified nor sacred, and make the Holy Father look more like a clown or cartoon character, rather than the Supreme Pontiff. I feel especially bad since the issue was brought to my attention by my traditional LUTHERAN professor, who found them distasteful. I think Catholics can do better than this...
Anonymous -- what's wrong with them is the color. Blue is NOT a liturgical color.
