Divine Mercy Sunday

Happy Feast of Divine Mercy (at least over here in Europe)!

May our Merciful Lord watch over us and may we always rejoice in the great mercy that He has shown us, by suffering for us in order to reveal to us His glory, and the joy that we are called to!

Even though it's been over a year, let's pray for the quick and speedy canonization of Pope John Paul II, who passed away on the Vigil of this feast last year!

What's with the airport-looking church building?

And what about the tree-like creation behind the altar?

This is a very bizarre structure, especially for Europe, right?

Well, a lot of the modern European churches are, unfortunately, quite modern, and do not follow the "tradition."

I'm not a big fan of it myself, but every time I go there, it grows on me. Though its not inspiring and beautiful, there is something special about the austere simplicity of the structure.

Hey John... this is Claire, the arkie who provided you with Easter tickets. I'm planning to provide a link from my blog to yours, if you don't mind. If you do, just let me know!
Thanks!

Hi Janek - this picture actually is quite good. The most important is the message of the Divine Mercy and all the souls who come there to experience God's mercy and healing. Yes, i've seen priettier churches, but...
